As the annual title sponsors of the New York City Wine & Food Festival (NYCWFF), Food Network and Cooking Channel act as a programming, promotional and production partner for the festival which supports the Food Bank for New York and Food Network's official charity partner, No Kid Hungry. I have worked on NYCWFF since 2013 and my responsibilities have expanded every year, eventually managing the entire sponsorship.

For NYCWFF 2017, my objective was to drive consumer engagement and talent/series promotion throughout the five day festival.  I accomplished this in a few ways:

  • Develop a marketing campaign on Food Network/Cooking Channel on-air, digital and social channels as well as OOH media in the tri-state area featuring brand talent.

  • Program priority talent in key events throughout festival.

  • Highlight priority series, Iron Chef Showdown at marquee Saturday night rooftop event.

  • Build a branded lounge within the 3-day Grand Tasting where consumers can rest, have a drink, charge phones, watch programming and interact with the brands.

  • Multiply reach of events through digital and social amplification onsite - Food Network website and social coverage, Facebook live shoots, Snapchat geofilters, etc.

Responsibilities Included:

  • Contract Negotiation

  • Promotional Asset Development

  • Media Planning

  • Large-scale Event Ideation, Planning & Execution

  • Brand Activation Build Out

  • Onsite Digital/Social Production

  • Talent Relations/Management

  • Client Hospitality

  • Cross Functional Team Management

  • Agency Supervision

2017 Event Highlights:

  • The promotional campaign received over 600MM impressions between on-air, digital, social, and OOH placements.

  • 18K+  attendees visited the Food Network & Cooking Channel Lounge at the Grand Tasting

  • There were 3K+ attendees at Saturday night's marquee event, Rooftop Iron Chef

  • Over 47K fans attended over 80 events throughout the festival

  • $1MM in net proceeds went to the Food Bank for New York and No Kid Hungry.
